Until July 12th, Art Ventures Gallery will be displaying the recent work of local artist, Jim Caldwell. He is based in the Bay Area and was raised in California, but his studies in art took him to Williams College in Massachusetts and then Yale University for his graduate studies in Architecture. Jim Caldwell’s work is inspired by his travels and his artistry reflects the vastness and variety of nature found across the globe.

The exhibition, “The Shape of Water,” captures the movement of water across different landscapes. Here water takes many forms: ice, snow, water vapor, clouds or fog, and reveals itself in a dazzling variety of colors and shapes for the viewer; it wanders through the water roads of canals, settles into the rectangles of salt flats in the bay, or meanders its way through the waterways of the delta.
