The artistic direction of the Gallery is entrusted to Antonio Budetta whose active research is mainly aimed at promotion of new opportunities new opportunities to the contemporary collecting. Aria Art Gallery opens in 2007 in Pietrasanta, Tuscan town famous especially for the processing of marble and bronze, one of the residences chosen by the greatest ancient and contemporary sculptors. The spirit of this place, deeply linked to the material, will leave an indelible mark in the choise of the artists represented. In 2009 the Gallery moves its headquarters in Florence, near to Ponte Vecchio, in a magical place: an ancient courtyard with a botanical garden dating back to 1534. Here the exhibition space is surrounded by tropical plants and in the center of the historical mamory of the “Reinassance” city, creating a timeless link between past and present. The constant international research, developed in almost ten years on the Florentine territory, has brought personal exhibition of american artist such as Carole Feuerman and Roxan Lowitt, chinese authors such as Zhuang Hong Yi and Sheng Qi. The three shows by Hassan Hajjaj, Omar Iman and Tanya Habjouqa, gave a particular attention to the contemporary world of the Middle East. For the first time in Italy two of the most important Turkish artists exhibited their artworks: Burhan Dogancay and Irfan Önürmen. In addition to representing international artists, the Gallery dedicate sample space to the promotion of Italian artists both abroad and in the Florentine headquarters, giving a strong focus to young emerging talents. In 2016 Aria Art Gallery opens its second exhibition site in a prestigious and elegant building in Mayfair in the heart of London, near the Royal Academy of Arts and the center of the new contemporary art market in our days. The centrality and beauty of the headquarters in the English capital have conquered the Turkish artist Irfan Önürmen who has exhibited his artworks here for the first time on the English territory. The third vanue of Aria Art Gallery is inaugurated in February 2018 in Istanbul, close to Istanbul Modern, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and Karakoy, a growing district in art and culture. The choise to open in the artistic capital of Turkish follows the partecipation in the Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair, where the Gallery has attracted during the last five years the attention of the most important collectors and curators. The Gallery actively takes part of various international fairs and exhibitions, collaborating with the Public Museums, Public and Private Bodies and Foundations and Ambassies. Among the istitutional projects of the Gallery there is in 2013 Icastica, the first biennial of contemporary art in Arezzo at National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art; in 2015 the exhibition Le Bagnanti (The Bathers), sculptures and bathing posters by Carole Feuerman to Toiletpaper in collaboration with the Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rimini; in 2016 the group exhibition Perditiva in collaboration with the Design Biennial and the Cultural Department of Rimini; in 2016 the personal exhibition by Carole Feuerman Lo Sport del Bellessere (The Sport of Beauty-Being) at the Museo Civico of Palazzo Elti in Gemona del Friuli; the partecipation in the 56th Biennial of Venice with the collateral collective exhibition Personal Structures-Crossing Borders (Personal Structures- Crossing Borders), where Carole Feuerman and Andrea Guastavino’s artworks were exhibited; the Timelessness exhibition, presented both in Florence and in London, in collaboration with Giorgio Baratti antique gallery, aims to be an exhibition that highlights the inseparability between past and present, combining 16th and 17th century painting with contemporary artworks.
