Date:
Monday, 4 November 2019 to Saturday, 9 November 2019
Opening:
Monday, 4 November 2019 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

In partnership with New York Artists Equity board member Matt Rota, Equity Gallery will be hosting a 5-day long pop-up art fair centered around bookmaking and illustration. Running from November 4th-November 9th, the fair will provide a platform for printmakers, illustrators, and mixed media artists to sell affordable works.

Journals, memoirs, travel logs, and short stories, in the forms of picture books, zines, graphic novels, and others that exist somewhere in between, the artists in this show author their own stories to illustrate. The balance of image and word culminates in a single vision, and a unique form of storytelling. Each artist uses the format of publishing as the medium of expression for their personal visions. This show displays a cross section of the publishing industry as a creative platform for these personal narratives.
