Sterling Ruby: SP Paintings

Nahmad Contemporary is pleased to present Sterling Ruby: SP Paintings, first retrospective of SP paintings and the first exhibition exclusively dedicated to the display of this series of work in the United States. SP Paintings will feature paintings that illuminate the evolution of Ruby’s outstanding body of work, and reveal the scope of exploration of the medium.  Select masterpieces, dating from early work in 2007 to those most recently completed, will be highlighted in the exhibition. Due to the expansive production time frame, the works vary in both hue and tone to collectively demonstrate hallmarks of Ruby’s distinctive style.  A fully illustrated catalogue with accompanying academic texts will be published for the exhibition, on view through June 10, 2013.
