Suzanne's statement about this series:

I am primarily a still life painter. I prefer still life because it allows me the freedom to choose objects and an environment that are entirely under my control. This results in a body of work that represents my uniquely personal aesthetic. I am drawn to bold, graphic images of everyday objects in dynamic environments. This is the reason behind my preference for still life, in that the genre allows me the personal liberty to create my own unique, somewhat surreal, compositions.
