Mia Goyette's, first solo exhibition in London, will present a new body of sculptural works. Goyette employs a wealth of materials, from fake flowers, electrical wires to resin casts of consumer goods; she couples production with anti-production to expose an alternative physical world. 

 

Artist ( Description ): 

Mia Goyette (born. 1989, Rhinebeck, NY) lives and works in Berlin, she graduated from the Cooper Union School of Art in 2010. Solo exhibitions include: Alternative Medicine, CEO Gallery, Malmö (2012); Color Picker Infinity Symbols: A Hanging at Times, Times e.V., Berlin (2012); Great Big Beyond, The Cooper Union, New York (2010). Group exhibitions include: Liquidate, Sandy Brown, Berlin (2013); Dry Wipe, Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham (2013); Distinguished from the melee of user comments and structurally misogynist chat room harbouring rapid-fire trolls, Galleri S:t Gertrud, Malmö (2013); radiant, unmasked fields, Greene Exhibitions, Los Angeles (2013); It’s Not the Title Anymore Because it Doesn’t Make Sense, Oslo Kunstforening, Oslo (2012); Mobile Device, Bodega, Philadelphia (2011).
