Jo Heckett explores the mysteries of the universe through a lens of female cosmology. She draws on science and magic to express the unfathomable through paintings, poetry and ceramics.

The Sparkling Dark is an invitation to share in the artist's joy at envisioning the world as a sensual and spiritual sanctuary. Heckett's paintings and ceramics are physical manifestations of a creative process energised by mythicism and exuberance; her poems are luscious and joyous spells; all emanating from a vital and vivid alchemy.

At a time of overwhelming headlines and uncertainty, Heckett reminds us of the good that connects our past, present and future. The venue's name suitably frames the crucial ingredients as Worldy, Wicked and Wise.

The exhibition opens with a Private View on 4 November and continues with opportunities to meet the artist throughout the week.
