Corinna Button returns to the UK after living and working in Chicago for a number of years, building a successful career as both printmaker and painter in the USA.
Button's work is largely inspired by the German Expressionist movement of the 20th century. Describing her work as a process of excavation, Button concentrates on surface texture and pattern. She slowly builds her images with much of her focus on issues of identity surrounding the feminine.
Combined with mastery of execution, Corinna Button conquers our imagination by placing a perennial mirror into our collective human experience.

After completing her Fine Art degree at Leeds, Button went on to study Printmaking in London, gaining much attention for her works. Now with her pieces in many high profile collections including the BBC and Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, Button has exhibited at the Zhou B Art Centre in Chicago and is a respected member of the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers.
