Heist is a fine art photography collective in Notting Hill, the brainchild of three fine art photography lovers – Mashael Al-Rushaid, J. Harry Edmiston and Anna Pia Lubinus.

In 2013 J. Harry Edmiston collaborated with partner Anna Pia Lubinus to create heist-online, a virtual space showcasing works by fine art photographers from around the world. The art was selected based purely on appreciation and the resounding success of this online space helped them recognise a gap in the market. The pair came together with like-minded patron of the arts, film investor and fine art photography lover, Mashael Al-Rushaid. Heist’s physical space came to fruition.

Located in a residential property in Notting Hill, Heist’s offline space creates an immersive art experience for lovers of fine art photography. The space offers an unconventional experience by combining performance art and fine cuisine inspired by each exhibition.

Heist established their anti-gallery as an authentic place where international photographers could showcase the strength of fine art photography and a platform for new and up-and-coming artists.  Heist removes the divide between artists and collectors and instead focuses on the story behind the art. They forge relationships with renowned artists, who create exclusive Heist prints at an accessible price point, giving everyone the opportunity to invest in fine art photography.

Heist is taking the way art is experienced to the next level by creating an immersive space that allows for a personal engagement with fine art photography. They provide a unique interactive experience for both photographer and collector. Heist brings to London a forward-thinking anti-gallery providing an alternative approach to the conventional white cube gallery experience, and offers an unparalleled opportunity to showcase fine art photography on the London arts scene.
