Where Serpents Change Their Skin references the city of "Puebla" in Mexico. The paper cutouts created by shamans in Puebla, Mexcio have been a large influence on Jiha Moon. The cutouts include symbols of both good and evil, reflecting the duality that has always permeated Moon's work. Supernatural beings, or energies, is something that Moon feels almost everyone can relate to in one way or another. She is facinated by the references she sees to these in folk art from different cultures. Ritual ceremonies to interact with these spiritis are common in her home country of Korea.

Jiha Moon's works have been accquired by the Asia Society in New York, The High Museum of Art in Atlanta, The Mint Museum, The Smithsonian Institute, The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, The Weatherspoon Museum of Art, and The Viginia Museum of Fine Arts. She is the recipient of the prestigious Joan Mitchell foundation's painter and sculptor's award for 2011. Her mid-career survey exhibition, "Double Welcome: Most Everyone's Mad Here" organized by the Hansley Insitutte of Contemporary Art and Taubman Museum is touring more than 10 museum venues around the United States until 2018.
