October 15, 2021 – David Zwirner is pleased to announce the second edition of Program, the gallery’s biannual livestreaming series. Taking place on November 5 on davidzwirner.com, Program: Fall 2021 will present five interactive conversations hosted by the curator and writer Helen Molesworth, and available for free to the gallery’s global audience.

Featuring a series of influential creators across a range of disciplines, Program will include the writer and poet Cathy Park Hong on Ruth Asawa; the author and 23rd US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo on art and spirituality; the writer and social observer Fran Leibowitz on Alice Neel; the artist Portia Zvavahera on her practice and first exhibition at David Zwirner New York; and Virgil Abloh, Ebony L. Haynes, and Kandis Williams on how we can engage with or change inherited creative spaces and the interdisciplinary nature of their work. This day-long event will begin at 10 AM EDT.

Program: Fall 2021 is designed to utilize David Zwirner’s growing expertise in video and online content to spotlight exhibitions on view at the gallery. In November, David Zwirner will present solo exhibitions of work by Ruth Asawa and Portia Zvavahera at the gallery’s Chelsea locations; and Kandis Williams’s new work will be the inaugural exhibition at 52 Walker, David Zwirner’s new Tribeca location led by Ebony L. Haynes. Program expands on the brick-and-mortar exhibitions, and brings them to a worldwide online audience.

The first edition of Program was held on June 10, 2021, on davidzwirner.com, and included live walkthroughs of David Zwirner’s global galleries along with a set of conversations hosted by Helen Molesworth. The speakers for the first edition included Hilton Als, Aaron Aujla, Ben Bloomstein, Emily Bode, Barry Jenkins, Deana Lawson, and Peter Schjeldahl. Program entertained over 30,000 visitors on davidzwirner.com.
