MOTHER AND CHILD

July 9th, 2018
6:00-9:00 pm
198 Allen Street, New York

In response to the crisis at our country’s southern border, Sugarlift is mounting a one-night only open gallery event, Mother and Child, in which 100% of proceeds will go towards organizations that provide legal defense and aid to separated families.

The contributing artists have been invited to create and donate work meditating on the Mother and Child theme. The relationship pervades art history from the Renaissance Madonnas to royal portraits to prosaic yet venerable depictions of everyday life.

Sugarlift’s Mother and Child event nods to artistic tradition while serving the mission to see that no child is separated from his or her parents.

Adam Lupton, Alonsa Guevara, Amanda Scuglia, Chiaozza, Danica Lundy, Dina Brodsky, Erik Hougen, Garrett Cook, Guno Park, Helen Robinson, Hillary McCarthy, Jacob Brooks, James Razko, Kristen Schiele, Lauren Matsumoto, Marcelo Daldoce, Nicolas Holiber, Nicolas V. Sanchez, Patty Horing, Svetlana Rabey, Vicky Barranguet and others!

All artwork will be priced at $500 or less! So come out, collect some art and support this great cause!
