Agora Gallery is pleased to announce Summer Idyll, a collective exhibition on view June 27th through July 17th, 2019.

The picturesque episodes as encapsulated in Summer Idyll create an artistic journey from vibrant colors to muted tones; the whimsical to the dark, through a series of works via a variety of creative mediums. The 19 artists exhibiting share an artistic talent, yet individually embody diverse art forms utilizing mixed media from oil, acrylic, pencil, ink, and charcoal to photography, sculpting, 3D techniques, multiple layers, and recycled materials. The exhibition vacillates from the abstract to recognizable influential figures in music and art and creates drama through depictions such as those that focus on the chaos of weather to the stunning lines of molded forms. The works stimulate emotions, incorporating a musical and nostalgic cadence.

Featuring lifelong seasoned visionaries alongside talented emerging artists, this exhibition showcases individuals whose works mirror the globally diverse heritage that they embrace. Their cultures define them, but their passions ignite the vast array of disparate creations presented in Summer Idyll. Their works include figures, portraits, landscapes, silhouettes, and wildlife, emblazoning each composition through color, texture and theme. Ideas that are born out of politics, religion, music and memories converge in a breathtaking exhibition of influence and art.

Summer Idyll opens on June 27, 2019 and will be on display until July 17, 2019.  An opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6 PM - 8 PM. Entrance to the gallery is free and open to the public.
