This May Partners Gallery is pleased to be showing three Northern California artists selected by curator and consultant Kate Eilertsen, addressing the topic of “Weather.”

Peter Hassen employs mixed media layering to focus on themes of nature, science and spirituality utilizing the universal languages of math, geometry, music, values, and emotions to examine similarities across cultures.

Jim Darke’s artwork, including acrylic and digital paintings, reflect his lifelong exploration of the invisible ocean of air above us and his study of the earth’s surface while aloft. The intersection of these two worlds at the horizon is of particular interest to him.

Tony Bellaver uses journal entries from his backpacking trips through the wilderness as source material for his sculptures, which include objects and photos telling a layered story of his journeys.
