Arts Benicia will begin 2015 with one of our most important exhibitions. The Art of a Community, showcasing the multifaceted talents of our artist members, is now in its 20th year. The Art of a Community will open on January 21, 2015 and will be on view through March 8. This exhibition is a celebration of the rich artist community in Benicia and the Bay Area. It will showcase work from artists at all levels: from artists showing for the first time to mid-career studio artists and artists who have spent their lifetime honing their practice. All member artists have a place in The Art of a Community. For nearly 28 years, Arts Benicia has been working with this community to help it grow and gain momentum, and we are proud to continue to present their work in this exhibition.
Arts Benicia is delighted to invite you to participate in this special members-only exhibit and to celebrate with us at our opening reception, "The Heart of the Community," on January 24, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public, and we encourage anyone who would like to meet and support the exhibiting artists who are at the heart of Benicia's art community to attend.
