Opening:
Saturday, 23 September 2017 - 1:30pm to 4:00pm

Presented by WhiteNoise Projects and curated by Rosie Jenkins, 'Sacred Spaces' brings together three artists' responses to the concept of a setting that enables meditation, contemplation and free thinking.

In their respective practice Hanna ten Doornkaat, Annamarie Dzendrowskyj and Rachel Pearcey are concerned with closing the gap between the perceived and the assumed through discreet and abstract mark making.

For this exhibition they individually explored the theme of immersion in a space to produce work informed by the unusual confines of SE9 Container Gallery and invite audiences into environments that in juxtaposition contain the product and atmosphere of a sacred space.
