Liberating Lives: Women Artists in the Ben Uri Collection

The exhibition explores Jewish, women, emigre artists who were affected by the Holocaust. Using works from the Ben Uri collection, the project will consider how circumstances contributed to their relative obscurity, and aims to locate these artists within the greater narrative of British art history from which they have so often been excluded.
