From January 6th 2016 in London Magda Danysz presents the amazing series of Charles Petillon : Invasions. In September 2015, the French photographer with many particularities invaded Covent Garden with a huge white balloons structure which attracted thousands of visitors. He comes back in London for shows off his photos, witness of the diversity of his playgrounds.

Charles Petillon designs images following a really specific protocol ruled by the analysis and under consideration of the place photographed. He makes a real immersion in the environment to create installations made of balloons link together shaping some real structures at the end. He evokes child memory, he also talks about disappearance, of nostalgia, of the fear faced with the weariness about things which were important yesterday and which are even not seen today. His structures, as light as invasive, fill empty or abandoned places proposing a new vision of them.

Works showed in this exhibition are photographical traces of Charles Petillon’s ephemeral installations. Points of view that he has chosen propose us a visual experience and in the same time a reflection about the world. They inscribe longevity in Charles Petillon’s artistic language and embody the relationship between time and space. At the end photography surpasses the white and luminous installation which seems more like pretext in order to sublime a space.

Charles Petillon gives an ensemble of clues stimulating the poetic singularity of the object to define one of the possible ways of reflection about our world. Like that our view is invited to know about a forms alphabet composing the first pages of a travel diary.
