Portland Gallery are showing a selection of 50 works for sale and on loan by the eminent British artist John Piper later this month. Works on view date from the early 1920s to the 1980s, giving visitors the opportunity to view paintings and works on paper spanning the breadth of the artist's career.
The exhibition coincides with the launch of a new monograph on the artist, described by Andrew Lambirth as 'the Piper book we've been waiting for', written by David Fraser Jenkins and Hugh Fowler-Wright. Copies will be available to purchase in the gallery.
