Reflection Worlds; A Bold Acrylic Collection by Nadine Romain is an international online solo painting exhibition that opens on November 17 and will continue for two months until January 17, 2024.
Bright colors and joy-filled, beautiful scenery is Nadine Romain's delight. She loves playing with light and reflections, creating sunsets or sunrises with a body of water or misty rainy cityscapes, playing with “lampadaires” and wet pavement at night. Nadine's inspiration comes from places she has visited or lived in (Paris, Italy, the Japanese Gardens) and also from places she aspires to visit someday like Alaska, Montana, tropical beaches and jungles! She fulfills her love for exotic places by traveling in her mind, putting the visual enchantment and sensuality on canvas for all to enjoy.

Artist:
I was born in the French-speaking part of Belgium. As a child, I spent hours drawing and painting. So much so that my mother arranged for me to receive private lessons from a local artist. We spent two or three hours a week on learning various drawing techniques and using multiple media in the following years.
I got busy with school and eventually earned a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences then came to Dallas in 1994 to further my career. As an expatriate, I started painting again with oils, my preferred medium. I fell in love with the Fort Worth Japanese gardens and started painting landscapes like my dad used to do. There was a 20-year interruption in my artist practice but after seeing the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit, I had to paint again and was fully committed to training myself with acrylics! Landscapes, especially sunsets and rainy nights allowed me to play with saturated colors and reflections, but I also enjoy the layering process and subtle foggy atmospheres.
Sharing my art on a larger scale is the new chapter of my journey.
