Meditations of a River, an international online solo art exhibition by Gail Gelburd opens on February 01, and will continue for two months until March 31, 2024.
Gail Gelburd art seeks to engage the viewer; to see that we are the river, the trees, and the sea or a ferocious waterfall. In Gail's artistic universe, we are all connected, like the roots of trees, the stream of water, we grow together, we live together and die together. Her artworks unveil the power of nature and humble us, as we bow to our own fragility.

Artist:
Gail Gelburd is a writer, artist, critic who has published numerous books and articles related to the inter-action of art and social justice. More recently she has turned her attention to making art and poetry about these issues. She has exhibited and is in the collections in NY, NJ, CT, MA, CO, CA as well as Greece, Australia and India. Gail Gelburd has a PhD in art and art history. She has been a professor, a museum director and art critic. Having received grants , she had opportunities to photograph in places such as Cuba and Nepal, Greece, Japan and Australia, Santa Barbara, Woodstock and the Berkshires. She has curated exhibitions all over the world and published 20 exhibition catalogues.
