Artist:
Majbritt Rohde Murmann is a contemporary artist who lives in the Bay Area, California. A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, her style is modern and colorful and her paintings are a universe of details and layers to explore.
Self taught, Majbritt began painting in 2015, experimenting with abstraction and expressionism. She paints intuitively and fearlessly, never knowing where a painting will take her. Her works are results of artistic struggles and frustration, and she has the courage to let go of initial ideas, kill darlings and trust her gut.
She primarily uses acrylics but also uses crayons and charcoal - or coffee and mud if that will bring the right facet to the work. Anything goes.
Majbritt has a master’s degree, works as a communications consultant, is married and have twin girls.
