A Realistic Artist's View, an international online solo oil painting exhibition by Damian Jacobs, opens on July 06 and will continue through August 06, 2022.

Demian Jacob's art gives a hyper-realistic view of the world in oil painting. From landscapes to colorful cocktail glasses or a view of life from an airplane, he got is all and they look perfect.

He sacrified time and went through the slow process of creating his work and the result is amazing.

Artist ( Description ):

I'm Damo and I have a huge passion for oil painting, from landscapes to realistic complicated pieces, and have recently dipped my toes into some acrylic work too. I come from NZ and currently live in Guangzhou city (China) with my wife and daughter, and have taught various ages, from kids to adults, simple techniques involved with producing artwork.

I first discovered the art of oil painting at a very early age, but didn't officially get into it until my early teens, and it was one elderly lady (lovely lady) that ran a private studio, I went and learnt what I needed in order to really refine the art of producing oil paintings, full credit to her as she was the only one that taught me everything needed to begin a journey in the oil painting world, as art classes in school had no interest in teaching oil painting, nor did any of the after school programs, but unfortunately I eventually stopped my lessons as the lovely lady moved towns, which meant I was on my own, and so my journey began.

I first started out producing landscapes, as there wasn't anything technical about them, just practicing (and sacrificing a few canvases) to get things right, from basic details, to light direction, to shapes of different objects and so on, and I recently (in the last few years) discovered a talent I thought I never had, REALISTIC ARTWORK!! Although realistic paintings can be painfully slow to produce, they are (in my opinion) some of the best work to be produced by an artist, and having created several realistic pieces myself, I'm proud of my achievements and proud of the journey I've taken in my oil painting, which now means taking my journey to the next stage, getting my work out there and seen by the public.
