The City is inviting qualified artists or artist groups to submit a Proposal Application to loan existing outdoor public art sculptures for a period of two (2) years that will complement the specific installation locations, engage the public, and enhance a sense of community. The selected sculptures will be installed in five (5) highly visible locations in City parks and on main roads in the City’s five distinct communities. Selected artists will loan an existing outdoor sculpture to the City for a two-year period with an option to extend for a third year upon mutual agreement between the artist and the City. The City shall pay the selected artists a fixed fee not to exceed $4,000 which shall constitute full compensation for all materials, supplies, insurance, and delivery costs to be performed and furnished in loan of the Artwork for two years. An addition stipend of $2,000 will be paid if the loan is extended for a third year.

The deadline to submit a Proposal Application is Friday, August 11, by 4:00pm Pacific Time.

Proposal Applications will only be accepted via the online Proposal Application available at http://www.EncinitasCA.gov/SculpturePads. All information is listed on this page.

At the sole discretion of the City, the deadline may be extended through an addendum. It is the sole responsibility of the artist to check this webpage or Planet Bids for addendums.
