Mirus Gallery is set to feature its newest show “Meet Me at the Dogstar,” the third collaborative show by Bay Area artists Sparkles Positron and Damon Soule. The gallery’s opening reception will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 and the show will be on view through Saturday, August 20.
With a focus on a metaphysical experiment in interstellar travel, “Meet Me at the Dogstar” highlights the collaborative works between Positron and Soule, featuring an array of mixed media and sculptural components. Soule’s art style consists of abstract canvases, often inspired by chemistry and music, which are then expanded upon through Positron’s emphasis on texture of natural materials.
