Barnsdall Arts Sundays, a truly unique arts education series, is continuing virtually this summer with 5 sessions slated for July. With art lovers from around the world connecting via zoom, Barnsdall Arts Sundays take place every Sunday from 10 am to noon PST and cater to children, adults, and families alike. Each weekly drop-in class is based on the exploration of global culture, featuring a range of artistic mediums from mask and print-making to cave painting and ancient script writing.

They designed art workshops to incorporate art history, visual art skills, and concepts, cultural, geographical, and historical contexts. Upcoming classes for July are: July 4 USA Amish Quilts (July 3), Bastille Day Construct Arc de Triomphe (July 10), Congo Baluba Masks (July 17), New Zealand Maori Shields (July 24), and Swiss Folk Art (July 31).

Zoom allows for an interactive classroom environment for art lovers globally to connect and post weekly class projects via Barnsdall Park’s social media @barnsdallpark, along with required materials and zoom access information. All projects are adaptable to simple materials.
