Calling artists for Sweet Summer Light juried online art competition.
Moving a painting through a change of light, whether morning, mid-day or evening
brings out the best in dedication to one's craft.
Many times the breakthrough occurs with a change of palette or an accidental
discovery of a new technique. Even a change of brush may drastically affect
the result of a painting.
Feedback from workshop participants proves that these breakthroughs occur
in real time when artists step out of their comfort zones and challenge
themselves.
Paying attention to time of day and seasonal light usually lifts an artists
work from the banal into a another level of skill and appreciation.
Focus Point & Shape Online Art Gallery announces Sweet Summer Light Juried
Online Art Competition for the month of July 2017.
2D artists from around the globe are called upon to make online
submissions for inclusion into the Gallery's August - September 2017 online group Exhibition.
The changing of light in a painting creates that 'aha moment' for the viewer.
This Competition is Mixed Media, Watercolor, Oils, and Acrylic.
We encourage entries from artists, regardless of where they reside...
to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational
or non-representational art.
A group exhibition of the finalists in each media will be held
online at the Focus Point & Shape Online Art Gallery during the months
of August and September 2017.
