Build your confidence in pastel and acrylic painting with local artist Claire Cansick in this workshop inspired by her current exhibition at Firstsite – You and I Are Earth, with a delicious light lunch included!
Join Claire for a relaxing day of drawing and a pastels and acrylics study, taking inspiration from film footage of extreme weather events and climate change reports in recent years.
Learn about composition, colour and tonality using charcoals and acrylic and later some expressive techniques to capture movement using pastels.
Basic materials are provided. No experience necessary, just an enthusiasm!
10:30am – 5:00pm. Freshly prepared light lunch from our café included.
