A Synergy of Sons - Kent/Chinnici

Recently Kent Galleries (my father's company) was approached by the famous Italian artists Lorenzo Chinnici’s son Francesco, about doing a collaboration of 2 very diverse artists with different styles and tastes.

Francesco Chinnici instantly fell in love with David Kent, and his quite quirky and surreal pop art that he was producing, unaware that his father, and my father were great friends of old, and met up 41 years ago when Lorenzo was doing a show of Contemporary Italian artists in 1974.

The reason why they were friends was not only that they were 2 great artists, but they also had in common, my late uncles Pepe Carrion, who often shared an evening’s company with Salvador Dali who wrote many letters to my Uncle saying “I love your paintings of the night my boy”.
