Fragments and Wholes: The Art World of Fengyi Ye, an international online solo digital illustration art exhibition, opens on May 10, and will continue for two months until July 10, 2024.
Fengyi Ye's work explores cross-cultural themes from different perspectives, with the goal of creating a profound impact on individuals and communities, while also speaking of her mixed identity. Fengyi plays with distorted ratios, reorganizing elements into an elegant composition, to express the fragmentation and multiplicity of cultural heritage. Some of Fengyi's works feature her personal cultural journey, speaking of her self-healing process of coming to terms with past harm and embracing those who have caused her pain. By embracing both parts of her identity, Fengyi is working towards building a more inclusive world. Fengyi aims to embrace her dual identity comprising both Eastern and Western facets to build a more inclusive world where people of different backgrounds can live together in harmony.
