Blooming With the Spring, an international online solo painting art exhibition by Katarina Vidmar opens on April 25, and will continue for two months until June 25, 2024.
Spring, Katarina Vidmar's favourite season is here and she feels most creative with all feelings and sensation of nature's unstoppable growth. Her watercolor paintings transport viewers to the magical realm of deeper creation through nature for Blooming With the Spring.

Artist:
I started painting quite late, in my mid-30s. I studied art at the Arthouse in Ljubljana. After finishing my studies I focused on mural painting and contemporary murals all over Slovenia and abroad for more than ten years.
After having a child, I focused more on painting in watercolour and acrylic. I run my own art school and teach techniques that include watercolour and acrylics.
I had many solo exhibitions in Slovenia, but I also participated in some group exhibitions abroad. For my watercolour works I have also received awards from abroad. The painting Eternal Garden was one of the ten best in the recent Women in Watercolour competition. Painting By The River I Love is among finalists of International Watercolour Masters 2024, England.

It's spring, my favourite season. I can feel the plants waking up, the juices of the trees starting to flow, even when nothing is yet visible. Invisible at first, I can feel the vitality and life beginning its journey from hibernation to spring blossom. This time of the year is one in which i feel most creative. Like Mother Earth, I create with all my creative might. Feelings and perceptions, the sensation of this remarkable, unstoppable growth, spill onto paper and canvas. Everything is beginning to turn outwards.
That's why I decided to dedicate this exhibition to it. I am very connected to nature and its cycles. This profound connection is reflected in my artistic practice. Whether it is watercolour or acrylic paintings. The creative process helps me to further enhance my relationship and perceptions of the deeper levels and structures of nature. At the same time, I am also very much aware that nature is me. All laws that apply in nature also apply to me. The more I am in tune with the processes of nature, the closer I am to myself. Creation is therefore a way to be myself, but it is also an opportunity for others to feel the deeper structures of creation.
