ARTIST LINDA STORM - Figures, Nature, Symbolism - My greatest inspirations began as a child in rural New York where I jumped in puddles, marveled at fossils, ran through fields of sparkling webs, stained my hands with wild berries, and witnessed the magical metamorphosis of a butterfly. When I breathed, the colors of the sky became part of me, and I found forever in the black between the stars. My professional art career began at age 14. Today, decades later, I am an award winning artist, my paintings are in private collections worldwide, and have been featured as cover art for periodicals and literature. Actor Wes Studi, and , actor and Emmy Award winner, Maura Dhu Studi own the largest anthology of my art.
I create with dimensional textures and paint on canvas, to which I may add iridescent mediums, rain water, earth, and volcanic pigments. My art studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is where I am currently painting a series of female deities titled The Feminine Almighty, which debuts in Italy 30, August, 2018 at Villicana D'Annibale-Contemporay Art Gallery, Via Cavour 85, Arezzo, 52100, Italy. www.VillicanaDAnnibale.com I paint solo and collaborate. I’ve created paintings with artists from Sweden, Cuba, and America. An exhibition of my collaborative paintings at New Century Artists in NYC prompted this review: Their works are clever derivatives of Salvador Dali, Marcel Duchamp, and Rene Magritte, a portal to their view of humanity and what it means to them as artists. It most certainly has opened a new window on the horizon indeed for this century in art.
