- About -

“Out of the Blue,” a featured exhibit of abstract paintings and more by Charlotte Coqui and Wendy FitzGerald will be on display at Gallery House, 320 S.California Ave., Palo Alto, from July 28th through August 22nd, 2015.  The public is invited to the reception on Friday, July 31st from 5:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m. Fitzgerald’s work is inspired by Cubism and shares common characteristics that can be discerned from her repeated use of geometrical shapes and multiple perspectives.  Events and objects represented in her compositions are spatially connected in a way where extrication is inconceivable.  Fitzgerald’s ultimate goal is to attract viewers by allowing not just a single viewpoint, but evolving simultaneous views of the changing world. Coqui's work is inspired by her inner world, Matisse, and vivid colors. At the time of this press release, she is creating new paintings which come to her while she walks her dogs or sits in front of the computer perusing photos she's taken. Her signature is she has no style per se. Creativity is what's most important to Coqui. Play, a sense of peace, and the eternal inner spiritual joy of life are recurrent themes for her work. Literally the next image may come "out of the blue" for Coqui.
