Jan Tichy, Things To Come, 1936-2012. Three-channel digital video projection. Richard Gray Gallery

Jan Tichy, artist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, works at the intersection of video, sculpture, architecture, sound, and photography. Tichy is best known for his dynamic use of projected light and video in installations that incorporate objects and architecture. In this lecture, he discusses his work as an artist and educator in relation to László Moholy-Nagy and talks about public collections, social practice, and the politics of light.
