Join juror Chris Daubert on July 30 for an in-depth discussion and walk-through of Slice, our annual juried exhibit of regional art. Now in its 9th year, this year's Slice exhibit showcases a broad range of innovative and thought-provoking work by 31 California artists.

 

Chris Daubert is an artist, writer and curator who has exhibited his drawings, paintings and large multi-media installations locally and nationally for many years. His work has been shown at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and New Langton Arts in San Francisco, The Drawing Center in New York, and The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, among many other locations. Born in Oakland, he was one of the artists/ founders of the non-profit gallery ProArts. He has also served as the curator of the Richard L. Nelson Gallery at the University of California, Davis, and the Gregory Kondos Gallery at Sacramento City College. He also taught Painting and New Media from 2001-17 at Sacramento City College.

 

Slice is on display at the Pence Gallery from June 21 - August 17, 2022. We will also have an opening reception on July 8, 6-9 PM.
