Chicago-based Kontras Quartet returns to San Diego for an evening of dynamic music-making and multimedia collaboration featuring the Steven Snowden world premiere commissioned by Art of Elan. In addition there will be a presentation of a new Sounds & Swells film that pairs the music of Felix Mendelssohn with local surf footage of the bioluminescent phenomenon of March, 2020.
This one-hour event will take place in the Garden of the Education Pavilion, at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) San Diego (North) in Encinitas, CA. Pre-concert begins at 6:30 PM.
