Opening May 3, Ryan Graff Contemporary is delighted to welcome Ukrainian artist Kateryna Reznichenko to the gallery with her exhibition “Morphosis.”

In “Morphosis,” Reznichenko explores transformation and resistance, where control yields to instinct and gives way to becoming. Her portraits inhabit the tension between precision and unpredictability, merging finely rendered realism with abstract, diaphanous forms. Stains and textures act as catalysts, allowing materials to speak and guiding compositions into unexpected territory. Each piece invites the viewer into that pivotal moment when intention collides with accident and something new begins to take shape.

Artist ( Description ):

Kateryna Reznichenko (b. 1997) is a Ukrainian artist from Lviv, currently living and working in Seattle, USA. Reznichenko honed her skills at the Ivan Trush Lviv College and holds a Master’s degree from the Lviv National Academy of Arts monumental art department.

For Reznichenko, art is a language—an alternative way to reflect, record, and communicate without using words. Her paintings inhabit a space between clarity and collapse.
