Oregon based modern surrealist painter, Alex Reisfar, returns to Davis with a beautiful collection of work. The surreal paintings both charm and challenge the viewer. Subjects include the circus, politics, female form, organic matter etc. Mr. Reisfar has stated that he finds inspiration in  ghosts, astral projection, the power of intent, black magic, telepathy, big foot, skin walkers, UFO's, alien abduction, love, my daughter Farrin, and people's right to choose what they do with their bodies, hearts, minds and lives
Artist ( Description ):

I've given up a tattoo apprenticeship twice (non-consecutively ) and worked as a cook in countless restaurants. I am classically trained on viola, and played in the Central Oregon Symphony for three seasons, as well as bass and vocals in various filthy rock and roll bands over the years. I was honored to be the Artist in Residence at the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts in Davis CA in 2012, and I am proud to call myself a member of the Davis Mural team (The oldest mural team in the country). I now live, paint and bicycle, in Portland Oregon.
