PANCHO LOPEZ [MEXICO]
Performance Title: Comida Rápida (Fast food)
His work regularly surrounds the day-to-day: food and different rituals established around it, love and despair, and the politics of desire. In particular he’s interested in manifestations of love and the processes that come as a result of diverse intrapersonal relationships: romance, work, friendship, etc., generating pieces that point out and question the way in which the relationship is developed and sometimes the moment of rupture. Pancho López works with the process of conjuction of elements to generate body of work from the organizational, reason why he’s interested in curatorial processes and festival coordinations, events and encounters, with the goal of giving young talents an opportunity to present their work. In particular he’s interested in visual and textual documentation of performance art.
Pancho López is a Mexican artist who has coordinated performance art projects such as Performagia, Eject, Transmuted and Extra! He has been a fellowship holder from the FONCA and the Culture Secretary of the Federal District. López has presented his work in Mexico, USA, Canada, China, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Poland, Germany, Colombia, Venezuela and Portugal. Worked in the Museo Universitario del Chopo and UNAM Foundation. Currently he is the Coordinator of the Bachelor in Communication and Management of Culture and The Arts at Universidad de la Comunicación in Mexico City.

MARÍA EUGENIA CHELLET [MEXICO]
Performance Title: Cajas de regalo (Gift boxes)
María Eugenia Chellet is linked primarily to self-portrait, a way of exploring identity and re-assuring her being in time and space. She confronts the mythical world of feminine archetypical, prototypical and stereotypical imagery, idealized in classical painting, film, comic, pin-ups and publicity. She worked as a Professor at the UNAM for almost 40 years. Pioneer of video art and electrography in Mexico. Her trajectory in performance art and installation is quite vast, generating a powerful imaginary.
Her work has been presented in Spain, Austria, Mexico and USA.

ALEJANDRO CHELLET [MEXICO]
Alejandro Chellet Untitled Freegans and Permaculturists are people who design their habitats according to a low impact on the environment, they employ alternative strategies for living based on limited participation in the conventional economy by creating new local and resilient economies and minimal consumption of resources. They embrace community, generosity, social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing. Based in this revolutionary new concepts of Permaculture and Freeganism of our modern world, he wants to perform with the active participation of the audience by asking for volunteers to prepare a dinner with “Dumpsterdive“ food scavenged by him the night before. Alejandro Chellet is the founder of an urban agriculture project in Mexico City since 2009. In the recent time he has been traveling and hanging out with punks, squatters, ecologists, political activists, organic farmers, permaculture people and yes, some artists too.

PAULINA FLORES [MEXICO]
Performance Title: Veintitréssesenta (Twentythreesixty)
A circle of perfection and twenty three years trying to reach such concept imposed by everyone else but me, because I wasn't the one who invented it, instead it was given to me until I was constituted as a person. I kept on taking what worked for me and what didn't, I tried to discard, but it keeps taking part of the weight I'll have to carry, until the last of my days. In fetal position a circle of stones surrounds me, I begin undressed, then I gird to a belt that makes me look thiner, since that's how beauty is expressed nowadays. I start to get dressed, some tights, a night gown fitted to my body, heels, a bit of makeup to cover up what my face really wants to say. With all these trappings I start to lift those stones that tie me to stereotypes and all expectations that other people have of me, I start keeping them in a bag, I cherish to hide them, pick them up until I get rid of them, slowly I lift them and as I put them inside the bag I only cover them. The bag just keeps filling and I can't carry it anymore, I drag it with all of my strength, but it only stops me and won't let me add the rest. It's tough and even though I think I'm finally free from carrying the rest, they're so many that they won't let me move forward to the remainder. I can't even drag the bag to pick up the rest, desperation consumes me. Until they arrive...

Paulina Flores is a student of the bachelor degree of Communications and Management of Culture and the Arts at the Universidad de la Comunicación in Mexico City.

QUETZAL BELMONT [MEXICO]

Her works are focused in socio-political themes, presenting individual pieces of performance art about identity, war, thirst and starvation. ABOUT GRACE EXHIBITION SPACE
Grace Exhibition Space opened in 2006 and is devoted exclusively to Performance Art. We offer an opportunity to experience visceral and challenging performance works by the current generation of international performance artists, whether emerging, mid career or established. Being a Brooklyn loft, our events are presented on the floor, not on a stage, dissolving the boundary between artist and viewer.

Grace Exhibition Space is run by Jill & Erik with Vincent Tiley. Jamie is our bartender and Leah runs the door.

"I have found Grace Space to be a breath of fresh air, and a new way to see and experience feelings you may have not faced in a long time. It’s a place to let yourself be exposed, amused, delighted, and terrified all at the same time, and I can say I haven’t experienced this combination of emotions at any gallery or theater I have ever stepped into, and that’s a wonderful thing.

The space provides a refreshing perspective on an art scene that has been somewhat shackled and restrained for quite a bit of time now. Grace Exhibition Space is a brave pioneer as it puts Bushwick, as well as New York City, on the forefront of exploration and exposure into the minds and bodies of artists who are truly gifted, fearless, and unique." Terri Ciccone. Bushwick Daily January, 2013

"On each night, and in each performance, the human body is redeemed from the mundane and made anew." David Lagaccia, Williamsburg Greenpoint News+Art (June, 2012)
