Join CMATO for an evening discussion with abstract figurative painter, Zara Monet Feeney, and Erika Lizee, Visual Arts Department Chair and Director, Moorpark College Art Gallery, on Thursday, March 18 at 6:00 PM PST on Zoom.

Feeney, whose artistic trajectories examine famous compositions, patriarchal authority and female empowerment, is the featured artist in CMATO's upcoming international juried art exhibition, Defining Beauty. Feeney will discuss the illusory and immersive experience of her work, her artistic influences and creative process. 

Lizee, an accomplished visual artist, is one of the four jurors of the Defining Beauty exhibition.

Artist ( Description ): 

Zara Monet Feeney was raised in an eccentric art family in Thousand Oaks, California. She received her BA from UCLA and an MFA from LCAD, studying under acclaimed artist and art critiques such as Lari Pittman, Barbara Kruger, Catherine Opie and Peter Frank.

She was recently awarded 1st at LA Artcore's Juried show and published in Manifest and Juxtapoz. Her credentials also include numerous national and international art residences, solo and juried group exhibitions. Feeney is adjunct faculty at California State University, Northridge, Moorpark College and Ventura College.
