"With a blend of rock-a-billy rhythm, country-blues guitar solos and pop vocal harmonies, According to Bazooka is truly unique." - Joshua Gutierrez, Daily Democrat.

Ross and Gladys Hanna Community Concert Series presents and evening of lively original music with the band According to Bazooka. A delightful mix of lush harmonies, archtop guitar, accordion, upright bass and drums create new Americana Pop music that travels beyond the limits of it’s folk-rock roots. Based out of Sacramento, A2B is known for its unique and upbeat songwriting. Infectious melodies and plenty of hooks wrapped in a vintage feel gives this quartet a vibrant sound reminiscent of 1960s pop-rock. The band is nominated for two 2019 Sacramento Music Awards in this year’s SAMMIES: one for folk band and one for songwriting.

A2B's lively and engaging tunes invite listeners into a delightful world of everyday humanity with a playful perspective to life’s twists and turns. The band offers a charismatic show of clever lyrics and well-crafted tunes and a pop infused sound that draws from rock and roll, blues, country, zydeco and more. The joy is contagious as Richard Urbino (vocals, guitar), René Martucci, (vocals, accordion), Jamie Knapp (vocals, upright bass) and Don Johnston (drums, percussion) groove together as one to create irresistible musical interplay.

According to Bazooka celebrates two album releases and has a third to debut April 2019. Their 2017 record "Where We Are Now” was produced by Sac Pop talent David Houston (String Theory) and recorded at Moon Studio in Sacramento. A2B’s 2015 album debut “Easy Come, Easy Go” was recorded in Dixon at Foxtail Sound. Both albums share many delightful surprises. CDs are available at iTunes, CDbaby, Spotify, Bandcamp and more.
