ACCORDING TO BAZOOKA's catchy Americana sound is a little bit folky, a little bit jazzy with pop, rock & roll sensibilities. The result is a unique sound and an inviting musical experience. Lush harmony, guitar, harmonica, accordion, keyboard, upright bass and drums bring these songs to life with a timeless retro-pop vibe that blends irresistible melodies with well-crafted lyrics and authentic stories.

Swanky is the band’s fourth independently produced album, the third in a series of recordings produced by Sacramento songwriter David Houston (David Houston and String Theory), engineer and owner of Moon Studio.

“The collaborative process of working with a producer—and with David, in particular—has added new and exciting creative energy to our music,” Urbino says.

According to Bazooka’s retro pop sound follows a California pop-rock and folk-rock tradition with catchy singable melodies and a lively energy that invites audiences to join in.

According to Bazooka features Urbino (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Rene Martucci (vocals, accordion, keyboard), Jamie Knapp (harmony vocals, upright bass), and Don Johnston (drums).
