Mind Body Spirit Online Art Exhibit

J. Mane Gallery is pleased to present its 3rd Mind Body Spirit International Online Juried Art Exhibition. 

Oscar Wilde said, "Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter."

Throughout history, the human figure has always been a common subject of visual art, involving the study and appreciation of it's beauty in it's depiction and presentation.  An awareness of the body shape, including postures like sitting, standing or sleeping and movements such as walking, running or dancing, speak to the ideal subject.

We invited artists to submit work that best represents the figure and the human spirit.  All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best art and photography. We received entries from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Armenia, Taiwan, Australia, Slovakia, The Russian Federation and Finland.

Each of our themed exhibitions, awards for First, Second and Third Place.  The First Place winner for the 3rd Mind Body Spirit show is Andrew Graham for hisr photograph, Confusion. Andrew captured the essence of the theme and his excellent command of the medium and composition are what set his work apart. Andrew is also the Featured Artist for the next four weeks.

Taking Second Place is Michael Duke for his enhanced photo, Drunk After The Break Up. Michael’s creativity and originality withe composition evoke a mood that leaves the viewer wanting to know more. And, Third Place goes to Holly Romano for her watercolor, Enough.  The colors and technique with the medium are wonderful as is the quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme.

Honorable Mention awards were given as well. Honorable Mention awards go to Harry Burleigh for his oil on canvas, A Fetching Breeze, Leslie Edwards for her painting, Yoga, Jillian Ellis for her photograph, Embody 5, Mane Hovhannisyan for her photograph, Metal Memories From Blue Sun, Gina Judy for her watercolor, Nude With Flower And Fur, Patricia Leone for her oil painting, Beach Booms, Jane Levy for her pen and ink drawing, Keyboard Player, Y. Hope Osborn for her manipulated photo, Rhythm And Brass, Denyce Renee for her photograph, Industrial Tutu and Vasu Tolia for her acrylic on wood, Dreamer.
