“As we create a new reality based only loosely on a collection of muddled memories and inspiring aesthetics anything goes. Everything is possible.” -Ryan Schude

bG Gallery is pleased to present a long awaited solo exhibition of photographs by Ryan Schude. Schude is known for his large-scale, single-frame tableaus that are packed with sophisticated action – mingling surrealism and Americana with a touch of contemporary humor. In this latest body of work, Schude’s subjects intermingle with monumental environments in nature. Often viewed from a god’s eye perspective, forces of nature become part of each character’s open narrative.

n 2018, Ryan Schude recreated Norman Rockwell’s “Four Freedoms” for Smithsonian Magazine with his take on American culture and also won Rangefinder Magazine’s Grand Prize that year.  He has recently created a work at SFMOMA that incorporated museum staff, as well as many other exhibitions at other prominent institutions, galleries and publications around the world.

The gallery is open from Tues. to Sat. from 11:30am – 6 pm at Bergamot Station, across from the Bergamot Cafe.
