"Collisions" features two distinct bodies of work by painter Makan Negahban.
About this event
In Negahban's portraits, he combines painting and collage to create images of individuals that have touched his life. Negahban's newest series addresses a more global, sociological view of the world. He depicts non-personal, imagined scenes on raw, unstretched canvas. With these new paintings, Negahban intentionally obscures the narratives and reflects on the experience of being human.
