WILD Dance Performances

Categories:

Date:
Saturday, 12 August 2017
Opening:
Saturday, 12 August 2017 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm

This one night only evening of performances compliments the visual art exhibition Wild.  In the context of this show, dance offers  a unique communication and physical questioning of the impermanent nature of our wild world and bodies. Performances invite a dialogue into how we attempt to contain, capture and confine the deep, infinite wild space of both our natural and pedestrian world.

This evening of performance intends to offer a palpable direct experience of our shared wild aliveness, joy and vulnerability. The immediacy of movement, live singing and interactive digital media compliments the visual exhibition’s exploration of external and internal wild space. Formal presentations of dance include a variety of genres such as Contemporary, Urban and Improvisational forms, as well as, interventionist performance methods.
