Off Menu: Contemporary Art about Food

Join us for the opening reception of Off Menu to view astounding art, enjoy tastings from local restaurants and a create decorative felt food pins!

Off Menu presents a portrait of contemporary food consumed in our everyday lives, from burgers, fries and doughnuts to gorgeously and realistically rendered slices of fruit. The show features an international roster of artists who work in a range of media from painting and sculpture to textiles, ceramic and photography to depict the objects of our culinary desire. The exhibition is anchored by the traveling show Les Diners de Gala, comprised of twelve fine art prints by the renowned 20th Century Spanish surrealist Salvador Dalí.

There will be delicious pop-up tastings from local Walnut Creek restaurants including: Heritage Eats, Broderick, Bounty Hunter, Burma 2, True Food Kitchen and more. Plus artful hors d'oeuvres will be hosted by Bedford Gallery Guild and there will be an all-ages felt food pin craft station so you can get creative!
