Selected drawings and paintings selected by the estate of John Brownfield for a final exhibition at Peppers Art Gallery, 1200 E Colton Ave, University of Redlands, Redlands, CA 92374.
Peppers Gallery will be open 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the duration of the show.
A memorial will be held in the gallery at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Active in Southern California from the early 1960s until his death in early 2020, John Brownfield (1940-2020) showed his paintings, drawings, and sculpture in solo, group, and juried shows. Brownfield taught art at the University of Redlands for 4 decades. In retirement, he taught and volunteered at the Redlands Art Association. Mostly figurative, Brownfield's art has strong expressionist tendencies. His exceptional draftsmanship expresses the heartbreaking beauty of the human form and experience.
