The new art show at Gallery House opening on August 21, 2019, features painters Kevyn Warnock and Sandra Cochran, in an exhibit entitled “Summer into Fall”, Coastal Paintings. The exhibit runs from August 21 to September 15, 2018. A public reception for the artists is on Friday, August 24, from 6-8 pm. The colors and composition of their works will pull you into the contentment to be found while walking in our coastal environment, California's "Crown Jewels."
SANDRA COCHRAN is a figurative painter who lives and works in Half Moon Bay. Sandra's acrylic paintings are of places within walking distance of her home that she visits frequently. Places of peaceful solitude. Her paintings capture the feeling she experiences in her walks along the coast.
KEVYN WANOCK has been painting Bay Area landscapes for the past 25 years, finding infinite variety in the gold and green hills, the many moods of the ocean and the interplay of the people who inhabit these environments. The perspective in Kevyn's oil paintings push the scope of human versus natural elements. We find ourselves drawn into her seascapes and landscapes, enjoying the interplay, wanting to explore, being captured in her natural world. In this exhibit Kevyn plays with light and shadow, day and night. Some paintings appear dark and exhibit her view of the many sides of this world.
