Sharing Our World

Sharing Our World is a collection of fine art works inspired by life in Silicon Valley and extensive travel around the world.

This exhibit of contemporary acrylic and oil paintings by artists Charlotte Coqui and Isaias Sandoval will be at Gallery House in Palo Alto from February 2nd to 27th, 2016. A public reception is scheduled on Saturday, February 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Come meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and participate in contemporary culture.

LIfe is a profound experience. Each one of us has our unique way of understanding and interpreting relationships with nature, our pets, people and the world around us. Humans' most advanced sense is vision. While the visual artist's medium expresses passion and emotion via color and form, light and shade, thin and thick line creating atmosphere and feeling—only you know how the image touches your inner world. Your unique experience. There in lies the mystery of sharing our world.

Charlotte grew up in San Jose, California. She studied Marine Biology and Art later returning for graduate school in Natural Science Illustration. Following a career as a graphic designer and illustrator Charlotte taught design and animal illustration at Cogswell College. Both of Charlotte's cat-like basenjis (an African breed of dog) inspire her art. She has a deep connection with her basenjis. She listens to them on a daily basis, and observes their behaviors, communications, and desires. With bold colors, she has a passion for expressing their unique ways of sharing their world, and connecting with one another and others.

Isaias Sandoval was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. He studied Manual Fine Arts and Architecture Design early on and later Economics and Business Administration. His real passion is Abstract Modern Painting. Through his art, with his eyes, his imagination and his hands directing brushes and paints, he shows you his world and experiences. Isaias uses strong and sophisticated colors, along with well defined geometric forms and shapes to uncover another side of familiar high-tech objects around us. He also has a passion for interpreting and capturing on canvas important social and world changing events.
